The president of the National Council on US-Arab Relations and member of the Council on Foreign Relations, John D. Anthony, tells Voltaire Network his impressions about the Axis for Peace international conference: “Different people with different opinions have participated in this conference but the critics – whose opinions I do not share – could reproach us our preaching to the converted. However, I think it is all useful; the members of a choir may know their repertoire very well but they still meet every week to perfect and to coordinate their work. In the same way, we are here to know works whose approaches significantly vary from one speaker to the other. If anyone leaves this conference saying that he learned nothing, he would be an idiot.”
