The Lebanese Information Minister could not attend Axis for Peace because the President of the Council has ordered him not to go abroad



Lebanon Information Minister Ghazi Aridi was unable to partake in the Axis for Peace International Conference organized by the Voltaire Network on November 17-18, 2005 in Brussels. The President of the Council Fouad Sanioura ordered Aridi not to leave the country for “national emergency” reasons. Right at that moment, Lebanese Culture Minister Tarek Mitri was traveling to Paris.
