In The Pentagate, Thierry Meyssan and his team focus on the attack that was aimed at the Pentagon on September 11th, 2001 . Based on official photographs, witness accounts, expert assessments and public domain documents, the book demonstrates the impossibility of the official story, according to which L'attentat du Pentagone the Pentagon was hit by an American Airlines Boeing 757-200. The Pentagate studies the birth of a rumor: who linked the hijack of American Airlines flight 77 and the attack on the Pentagon? Thierry Meyssan's team investigated its way upstream to the source of the news broadcast by the media. It has observed that the only source on which the press relies is not civilian, but military.
The book also surveys into details the witness testimonies received in the first hours. Some witnesses talk about “a plane with an 8 to 12 passenger load” or use the word “missile”. But the press only reports the accounts that fit the official story and does not hesitate to crop those that lead towards other investigative trails.
A 16 pages color photo booklet allows the reader to get back to the facts and notice the damage at first-hand: the aircraft that hit the Pentagon punched an approximately 2 meters width hole through three buildings. The expert assessment of the type of object able to cause this kind of damage – a shaped charge missile – leads us to the very inside of the American military apparatus.
It may be about time to look honestly at the hard facts. This time without passion. For the convergence of witness accounts, photographs and expert assessments towards the explanation of a missile carries tremendous implications.
