Raul Castro Meets with Co-President of Cuba-Russia Inter-Governmental

According to Granma news daily, the Cuban leader highlighted the
historic bonds of friendship between the Cuban and Russian peoples, the excellent state of bilateral relations and his confidence in the
strengthening of these ties.

For his part, Levitin, who gave Raul Castro a friendly message from
Russian President Vladimir Putin, spoke about the first results of his
visit to the island, where his agenda not only includes participating in
the session of the bilateral commission but also meeting with government authorities and visiting places of economic and scientific interest.

Also present in the meeting was Cuban Government Minister Ricardo
Cabrisas, who heads the island’s delegation in the inter-governmental
commission, and the Cuban ambassador in Moscow, Jorge Marti Martinez.

Levitin was accompanied by the Russian ambassador in Havana, Andrey
Victorovich Dmitriev, and the director of Foreign Cooperation at the
Russian Transport Ministry, Alexander Alexeievich Andreiev.
