Cuban President Raul Castro met on Thursday with the Brazilian ambassador in Cuba, Bernardo Pericas Neto, who is ending his diplomatic mission in the island.
During the meeting, the Cuban leader sent greetings to his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and thanked the diplomat for his work in Cuba since March 2007 which, he said, has significantly contributed to the development of bilateral relations between Cuba and Brazil.
Pericas Neto was accompanied by his wife, Maria Clemencia del Carpio de Pericas. Also present was Cuba’s Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Granma newspaper reported.
