Raul Castro Meets with President of Nauru

Cuban President Raul Castro met on Saturday with his counterpart from Nauru, Marcus Stephen, who is on an official visit to the Caribbean island.

After the formal welcoming ceremony, both leaders held official talks. They spoke of the existing friendship and cooperation ties and of other topics of common interest such as the results of the recently concluded Summit on Climate Change held in Cancun, Mexico.

Present in the meeting were Cuban VP Esteban Lazo Hernandez and Deputy Foreign Minister Marcelino Medina Gonzalez.
