At a time when the country is going through a difficult economic crisis, the Israeli media have disclosed the extravagant expenditures of the Prime Minister and his wife Sara : 909 000 dollars, in 2012.

In 2012 Benjamin Netanyahu spent $1,700 on scented candles, $23,300 on flower arrangements, $3,000 dollars on vanilla and raspberry ice cream, $11,800 on laundry bills, $41,600 on restaurant expenses, etc.

His expenditures exceed his budget allocation of $300,000.
