The Counter-Terrorism Centre of the CIA and the Pentagon’s Joint Special Operations Command have launched a vast operation which aims at eliminating the principal heads of the Islamic Emirate (« Daesh ») in Syria, reveals the Washington Post [1].

The newspaper notes that the CIA and the Pentagon kill the leaders of Daesh by bombing them with drones. It observes that this new CIA mission seems to contradict President Obama’s precedent directives, which state that the CIA should concentrate on espionnage and leave military matters to the Pentagon alone.

This campaign of assassination is being carried with no link to General John Allen’s international anti-Daesh Coalition.
