Whereas on 16 June 2016, the former Labour Prime Minister Ehud Barak issued a call to use all possible means to hunt down his successor (Benjamin Netanyahu) [1], the Labour Party confirms that it has secretly negotiated the terms of a peace agreement with the PLO. This agreement was established through an exchange of letters between Isaac Herzog and Mahmoud Abbas.

This agreement – the first ever concluded – could come into force as soon as the current prime minister has been defeated. It could also put an end to 68 years of conflict. It provides for the following:
 for a State of Palestine to be set up in the whole of Judea, the Samaria and East Jerusalem;
 for some refugees to return;
 for the old city of Jerusalem to be divided and to have an Israeli Western wall. For the establishment of an authority for joint municipal coordination.
