While the United Kingdom, the United States and France have deployed soldiers in Syria for at least four years, and Germany now for several months, Norway is also getting ready to send in its special forces.

The Forsvarets Spesialkommando (FSK) are already in Jordan where they are participating in training “moderate” Jihadists. However, the Jordan border has just been declared a “military zone” and is henceforth impossible to cross.

These forces are reputed to be the only ones capable of projecting itself onto an oil platform in the sea. A member of Nato, Norway has sent its FSK to participate in wars against Serbia and in Afghanistan.

It is an international crime for Special Forces to be present in a foreign state without authorization.
