18 June 2011Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated that the Israeli-Arab conflict would remain until the Palestinians recognize Israel as a state for the Jews.
He said that Israel would not fight over “a few kilometers of land”, but that what was important is that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
He added, in a statement to Israel’s Haaretz newspaper, that as long as Abbas didn’t recognize Israel there would be no way to reach an agreement.
