Lydia Al Khudri, Technical Officer of the World Health Organization
(WHO) said that the achievements of the Cuban healthcare system should become a role model to the other countries in the world.
In an exclusive interview to ACN news agency, the official underscored the leading role Cuba plays in the development of medicine, especially in Latin America.
Al Khudri is an official at the Alliance for Research on Health Care Politics and Systems within the WHO organization, with its headquarters in Geneva.
She expressed her interest into exchanging with Cuban medical and scientific institutions, of which she admires their results, that not only benefit the Cuban people, but also others from all over the world, she said.
The Alliance has the objective of promoting the application of new policies at the Third World countries healthcare systems and to spread the knowledge resulting from these researches.
Lydia Al Khudri is participating at the Global Forum on Health Research that will wind up this Friday at the Havana’s Conventions Palace with the attendance of 800 delegates from 80 countries.
