Al Gore (Peace Nobel Prize 2007)

The announced participation of 110 heads of State and government in the Copenhagen Conference would seem to indicate the existence of an international consensus, i.e. that the temperature of the earth is rising and that this climate change is attributable to industrial activity.
But rather than addressing the merit of that assertion, I would like to demonstrate that it lacks scientific basis and is instead politically-driven. A later article will deal with the leading figures involved in the fight against global warming and expose their motives.

In order to gain some insight into the work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) - the UN body that elaborated the current dogma and was the co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize together with Al Gore - one must be mindful that this is the second time a panel of State-designated experts has been created within the framework of the United Nations in order to proclaim Science.

The IY2KCC

The first such experience occurred with the International Y2K Cooperation Center (IY2KCC). The history of IY2KCC can help us understand a lot of what is going on in Copenhagen right now.

In 1996, the rumour that computer systems would break down in the year 2000 began to circulate. Republican Senator Bob Bennett alerted his colleagues to the dramatic implications that this could have for financial markets at a time when transactions are orchestrated by computer programmes reacting in split-second timing to the slightest variation in stock market prices. As a prominent member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon Church), Bennett’s millenium fears were initially interpreted in a religious key. However, the Senator was quickly joined by "experts". Soon thereafter, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), a federal inter-agency body which regulates financial markets, decided to harmonize its computer systems in view of the year 2000.

In November 1997, Bob Bennett and his Democratic colleague Christopher Dodd obtained the adoption of the Computer Remediation and Shareholder Protection Act (spelling the acronym CRASH). They also exhorted Bill Clinton to take the leadership for the solution of the problem on a global scale.

Vice-President Al Gore jumped on the bandwagon. Rightly or wrongly, he brandished the self-styled imagine of a billionaire devoted to providing his country with "computer highways" (i.e. Internet-linked communication networks) thus obtaining the appointment of a "President’s Y2K Conversion Council" [1], which he ushered into the White House. It was chaired by Josh Koskinen who had, until recently, been in charge of elaborating fiscal policies in respect of the computer industry. In the context of the year 2000, Conversion is an ambiguous term which also evokes the conversion that fundamentalist christians must undergo in order to ward off the end-of-time prophecy.

Simultaneously, the Senate created a temporary parliamentary commission to address the technological problems linked to the year 2000.

The White House Council instructed each federal agency and ministerial department to appoint an overseer for the 2000 conversion. In addition, it relentlessly lobbied the UN Economic and Social Council until its President, Pakistani Ambassador Ahmed Kamal, consented to present a motion before the UN General Assembly. The text, which would have ruffled a few feathers had it been presented directly by Washington, was adopted by the General Assembly on 26 June 1998 in its plenary session [2]. The result was also greatly facilitated by the creation, abetted by the White House, of a special World Bank fund for the 2000 conversion. In other words, not even those States which were most skeptical about the "millenium bug" had anything to lose by supporting the UNGA resolution since they could obtain World Bank subventions to update their computer systems.

Asserting their leadership, on 14 July 1998 during a solemn gathering at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, President Bill Clinton and Vice-President Al Gore issued a message designed to alarm the world.
The first contact group meeting organized at the UN by Ambassador Ahmed Kamal drew 120 delegations. The meeting decided to create an ad hoc UN agency, the IY2KCC, the funds for which were initially doled out by Washington alone, be it indirectly through the World Bank or by simply footing the bill. Contrary to normal practice, neither the agency’s location nor the choice of its staff was discussed. Washington supplied the staff and also picked Bruce W. McConnell as Director, previously in charge of computer security in the Clinton Administration. He was seconded by Art Warman, who was formerly in charge of USAID.

IY2KCC was so successful that in the end its members turned out to be 170. Each State was represented by experts. Each delegation having a vested interest in following the proceedings, on one hand to remain informed and on the other hand to cash in on the World Bank subsidies, a consensus ratifying the danger of the "millenium bug" emerged from the IY2KCC Assembly quite easily.

It is not necessary to go any further. This historical reminder is enough to demonstrate that a consensus reached by scientific personalities within a political framework amounts to a consensus dictated by political interests and has nothing to do with science.

The Motive

Several years later, the United Nations and the US Government removed the Year 2000 sites from the internet. But the mountains of official reports on the "millenium bug", which have been published by nearly every State and inter-governmental organisation, can still be consulted in libraries. In any event, on 1 January 2000, it dawned on everyone that they were nul and void and that the danger of 2000 had been nothing but a scam.

In reality, the entire affair had been painstakingly set up. Senator Bob Bennett is also a well-known CIA contact, for which he worked during his youth. Bruce W. McConnell as well has connections with the intelligence community. Moreover, he has recently been appointed by President Obama to oversee cybersecurity at the Homeland Security Department. His former deputy, Art Warman, is currently VEGA Executive Director, a structure which enables the CIA to infiltrate national NGOs and which offers "green development" programmes to the Third World.

The year 2000 hoax made it possible for Wahington to impose software harmonization worldwide and to create a global communications network among States. According to the States themselves, the efforts that went into the IY2KCC also made it easier to coordinate efforts in the context of the war against terrorism after September 11. Moreover, such harmonization paved the way for the United States to impose its own software equipment and, inter alia, to allow Bill Gates to amass a fortune. All software systems have been endorsed by the National Security Agency, signifying that they are permeable to intrusions by the US intelligence services.

For the gullible who let themselves be manipulated, the cost of this operation ranged between 300 and 600 billion dollars, depending on the sources, of which less than 40 were shouldered by the United States. Quite a swindle!

Al Gore, the IPCC and Copenhaguen

Having a short memory, the media failed to ask Nobel Peace Prize laureate Al Gore whether his global warming alerts are more sincere than his year 2000 alerts. Nor did anyone inquire about the nature of the IPCC (co-recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize). The presence of a few climate experts amidst a crowd of diplomats does not make of this political gathering a scientific academy.
