The president of Voltaire Network has established contact with us on Tuesday, 23 August, at 10:30 p.m. via satellite phone from the Hotel Rixos. All Internet and landline connections have been down for over 24 hours.

During the very brief conversation, Thierry Meyssan only had time to assure us of his well-being and that of the entire Voltaire Network team in Tripoli.

He reported that the situation inside the hotel, where some 40 foreign journalists are still bunked down, is understandably tense but under control. On the whole and for the time being, everyone is faring well.

We wish to thank the many people who have enquired about Thierry Meyssan’s present circumstances.

We will post more news as and when we receive them.
