An Egyptian Army General took the US and Israel responsible for the Sunday terrorist attack in the Sinai region which killed tens of Egyptian forces.

"The US and Israel want to show that the Sinai region’s security is suffering a lack of instability to prepare the ground for their interference in the region" Major-General Seifeddin Al-Eizal told Fars News Agency on Tuesday.

He said a look at the recent remarks of the US state secretary in her recent trip to Egypt who said Sinai is a dangerous and out-of-US-control region proves that these attacks are in line with the US policies.

In relevant remarks on Monday, a senior Iranian legislator also took Israel responsible for the crime.

Member of the parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Abbas Ali Mansouri told FNA that Zionists are angry with the opening of the Rafah crossing after the revolution in Egypt and therefore they plotted to create insecurity in that area.

News reports said that Egyptian authorities declared an emergency, especially in the Rafah area, Sunday evening, after terror attacks on two Egyptian positions in the Rafah area, in which 20 officers and other soldiers were murdered.
