Egypt imposes conditions on lifting the siege of Gaza

The US special envoys, Jared Kushner and Jason Greenblatt, arrived in Egypt after they had been received in Jordan and Saudi Arabia. At the same time, the cabinet of President al-Sissi announced that he would support a chapter of the US Peace Plan.

Cairo would lift the siege of Gaza if two conditions are satisfied. First the Gulf Countries undertake to construct a port and an airport at Gaza and second, Hamas undertakes to release the Israeli prisoners that it was detaining.
