The Crisis Intensifies in Iran


The crisis is intensifying in Iran: the national currency, the Rial, has plummeted (55 % down in six months) whilst unemployment is spiralling (40% of the population are said to be unemployed but we cannot verify this figure).

187 Parliamentarians out of 290 have written to the Guide of the Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to ask him to change the government’s economic team.
