The Syrian Armed Opposition calls on Moscow and Ankara to bomb Idleb

Fuad Elîko, spokesperson for the “National Coalition of the Opposition and the Revolution”, has called on Turkey and Russia to eradicate Al-Qaeda from Idleb (North Syria).

The leader of the armed opposition in Damascus considers Al Nusra Front to be a terrorist organization. Al Nusra controls 60% of the region of Idleb.

This is a surprising declaration because in the West, the messages appealing not to attack Idleb have proliferated.

Mr Elîko is considered to be close to Turkey. Ankara has just strengthened its military presence at the border so as to prevent an influx of immigrants should the jihadists of Idleb be attacked.
