The criminal court of Paris handed down its verdict on June 7, 2005, sentencing Proche-Orient.info and “Les amis de Shalom Archav” to strong penalties on defamation against CAPJPO. Both organizations had accused CAPJPO of being responsible for the turmoil between the Palestinian Rights Advocates and young Zionist activists during a rally against the war in the spring of 2003. Based upon these slanderous accusations, the major media agencies, devoted then to a mediatic lynching of the CAPJPO, identifying the defense of the Palestinians with anti-Semitic violence.
