The United States intend to consider their allies as protectorates no longer. Consequently, the US is asking them to pay the cost of their protection, failing which, it will withdraw. Such was President Trump’s announcement on 17 January at the Pentagon. It was presented at NATO in February, but was only made public this week. It is a decision which applies to all the allies, from Japan to Germany. The problem is that Washington is also asking its allies to align with US positions… just as they did as protectorates.

The reorganisation of the US base Camp Darby (Italy) masks the transfer of special forces to US command. This system already existed in the past. It was this mechanism which enabled the creation of Gladio, the service for NATO’s secret actions in Italy. Since December 2015 (article 7bis of Law 198), the President of the Italian Council has the possibility of pursuing military operations by Intelligence operations. This news gives more weight to the hypothesis that we published two months ago – NATO is preparing a wave of attacks in Europe.

During the seven years of war against Syria, Israël continually intervened in secret, lending airborne support to the jihadists in their attempts to overthrow the Republic. Since the end of 2018, Tel-Aviv has changed its tactics, and is now proceeding with vast bombing operations which they no longer bother to hide. Their goal is to hit Iranian targets, with the tacit agreement of Russia. However, these Iranian targets seem to be no more than anecdotal. Simultaneously, Israël, having reached an agreement with the leaders of Hamas which it finances publicly via Qatar, continues to wage its war against the civilians of Gaza.
