Australia and Japan have sealed a Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA) involving their respective armies .
It was negotiated as part of a future global NATO , notwithstanding the Trump administration’s disapproval and the Pentagon’s efforts of getting the Quad (military agreement between Japan, Australia, India and the United States) back on track.

1.The Prime Ministers of Japan and Australia reaffirmed that the Special Strategic Partnership between the two countries is based on shared values, including a commitment to democracy, human rights, free trade and a rules-based order; shared strategic interests in the security, stability and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region and beyond; and deep economic complementarity. They renewed their determination to deepen cooperation to promote a free, open, inclusive and prosperous (...)

No one stops the Pentagon. While the military deployment project around China mentioned by Hillary Clinton in 2011 had officially been abandoned, NATO had just had it endorsed by the London Summit. The process has been launched and is expected to start with Australia’s accession in 2026.

During a ceremony at Pearl Harbour, on 30 May 2018, the US Defense Secretary, James Mattis, announced that the US PaCom (literally the US Command in the Pacific) was to become the US IndoPaCom.
The General did not seek to clarify the reasons for this change. All he said was that the area that the Command would cover would include both the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.
Admiral Harry Harris, the outgoing commander of this CoCom (Unified Command for Combat), has specified that “the time (...)

Narendra Modi’s government intends to deploy its army in the Indian Ocean after China installed two military bases in Djibouti and in Sri Lanka (Hambantota) and is negotiating the installation of a third with the Republic of (...)
The US Administration Divided over the Prospect of Nuclear Annihilation of Korea
by
Dimitri Konstantakopoulos

This article by Dimitris Konstantakopoulos brings together some highly significant information on the North Korean crisis. The author interprets this data in light of his a priori position, favourable to President Obama and hostile to his successor Trump. While we do not share his analysis of US society and political life, we agree with him that there is a war-mongering group that is pushing for an atomic war in the Korean peninsula. We are publishing this point of view because we find it very useful to the debate.

On 3 October at the Senate’s Armed Forces Committee Hearing, Generals James Mattis (Defense Secretary) and Joseph Dunford (Chief of Staff of the Joint Armed Forces) have declared that the US armies would stay indefinitely in Afghanistan so that the Taliban could never hope to return to power .
Initially, the United States and the United Kingdom had entered Afghanistan on the pretext that they wanted to take out the Taliban, which was protecting Osama Bin Laden, the man responsible for (...)

Thierry Meyssan

You are probably aware that you are incompletely informed about what is brewing in Myanmar, and you probably haven’t heard about the military coalition that is preparing to attack that country. And yet, as Thierry Meyssan reveals here, these current events have been in preparation by Riyadh and Washington since 2013. Don’t take sides before you read this article and digest the information.

The Court of Arbitration (the PCA) at the Hague ruled in favour of the Philippines in its case against the People’s Republic of China, rejecting Chinese territorial claims over the Spratly Isles in the South China Sea.
For the Western Press, this is a sign that the United States is right to denounce Chinese expansionism.
In actual fact, the Court of Arbitration does not have jurisdiction over boundary disputes. Jurisdiction over such disputes lies with the International Court of Justice, (...)

“The scientific revolution that has brought about atomic fission requires a moral revolution”: with this historic phrase (coined by the presidential speech-writers) culminated Obama’s visit to Asia. On it, he declared at Hiroshima, his willingness to “mark out a path leading to the destruction of nuclear arsenals”. The Federation of American Scientists distances itself, providing evidence that the Obama Administration has reduced less than its predecessors, the number of nuclear tests.
Today, (...)

The 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people in the War of Resistance against Japanese aggression is celebrated on 3 September in Peking. Not only Tokyo but also Washington and almost all EU governments are going to boycott it. They are sending only second rank representatives to Peking. A ridiculous attempt to erase History, paralleled to those in relation to the victory over Nazism, celebrated in Moscow on 9 May .
The historical basis: in the thirties, China was reduced (...)
