On the side-lines of the General Assembly of the UNO, the Foundation Appeal of Conscience gave its prize to the «World Statesman of the Year», French President François Hollande.
This foundation is interdenominational, but has been presided, since its creation in 1965, by Rabbi Arthur Schneier, known for his engagement in favour of the Hebrew state. Every year, it honours a personality who has worked both for religious freedom and to the advantage of the state of Israël.
Since the creation of (...)
Vladimir Putin and François Hollande
Two Heads of State face their fellow citizensby
Thierry Meyssan

Although the economic situation in Russia is much more difficult than in France, Russian TV viewers massively followed the programme « Direct Line with Vladimir Putin », while the French showed scarce interest in « Citizen Dialogues with François Hollande ». The audience levels of the two programmes correspond to the public support garnered respectively by each political figure. For Thierry Meyssan, contrary to the dogmas of communication gurus, TV viewers and the electorate are not swayed by poor economic indicators, but rather by their president’s capacity as a leader or as a simple manager.

During his interview of the 14th July on TF1 and France2, President François Hollande denied that Israël possesses the atomic bomb. But the Hebrew state has between 80 and 400 nuclear war-heads, and has already used neutron bombs against civilian populations. Is Mr. Hollande ignorant, to the point where he should be judged inapt to assume the responsibilities of Head of the Armed Forces and the strike force, or simply using bad faith in contempt of his fellow citizens ?

While the signature of the agreement between Washington and Teheran draws ever closer, Thierry Meyssan retraces and analyses the policies of François Hollande in the Near East which uphold his support for the Gulf monarchies and Israeli apartheid. Indisputably, the author demonstrates the fact that this policy, which is contrary to the values of the Republic and the interests of the Nation, exclusively serves the personal ambitions of a few individuals and the social group they represent.

François Hollande was elected president by cultivating ambiguity. Yet it was easy enough to read his previous statements to see full support for the State of Israel. The change he had announced to his constituents has not occurred. On the contrary there has been continuity with his predecessor. We cannot but note that France has gradually abandoned its policy of independence to stand alongside the United States and the last colonial state.

Mr President of the State of Israel, Dear Shimon Peres,
Mr Prime Minister, Dear Binyamin Netanyahu,
Mr Speaker of the Knesset,
Madam Leader of the Opposition,
Members of the Knesset,
Ladies and gentlemen,
I would like to thank you sincerely for the honour you are according to me - and to France - by permitting me to speak here before your parliament, the Knesset, which is both the symbol and the embodiment of Israeli democracy, bringing together every opinion present in your country. (...)

Unprecedented in the history of international relations, the governments of four European countries - France, Spain, Italy and Portugal - have closed off their airspace this week to the Bolivian president’s airplane. Is this a case of strict compliance with international laws or further proof of the servility of European ’powers’ towards Washington? To better answer this simple question, French pundit Salim Lamrani sets out a list of 25 facts.

The French press has depicted President François Hollande’s trip to Qatar as an intent to normalize relations between the two countries. It highlights the development of relations with other Gulf states, the controversy over Qatar’s investment in the Muslim-populated suburbs of France and, finally, hones in on the prospect of lucrative contracts.
The foreign media, on the other hand, interpret the trip from a different angle. For them, Hollande’s jaunt to the Gulf is a facade for a tour (...)

Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande use the French armies to pander to private or foreign interests. They sent men to their death to plunder Ivory Coast cocoa, Libya’s gold reserves, Syria’s gas, and Mali’s uranium. The trust has been broken between the military chiefs and the soldiers who joined the army to defend the homeland.

François Hollande’s slogan has been "Change is Now!" Two months after his election, while he has broken with the style of his predecessor, the new French President is bent on pursuing identical policies. For Thierry Meyssan, this repudiation is the product of an ideology clearly revealed in the speeches of the new president, one of collaboration with the current-day Empire

A delegation of the French Socialist Party, led by its first Secretary François Hollande, participated in the Direction Committee of the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France (CRIF) on November 30, 2005. However, decisions taken during this meeting were only made public recently.
Following the guidance of former socialist minister Jack Lang, who used to write a column for the Figaro “Etre de gauche, soutenir Sharon” in August 2005, Hollande said he was more than satisfied (...)
