When Italy was hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, she called out for help but the European Union failed to respond. For its part, Germany callously banned the export of masks.
Mindful of the cold shoulder they got from the EU during the 2008 economic crisis, the 2015 migrant crisis and the coronavirus crisis of 2020, the number of Italians disgruntled with the EU shot up to 67%.
Another poll showed that following Germany’s reactions to the recent crises and its current overtures toward Libya (...)

In the Sicilian city of Ravanusa, 33-year-old Dario Musso drove down the street with a megaphone, wanting to wake up his fellow citizens to the cry of "The pandemic is not deadly! Come outside, take off your masks! Open up the stores!"
All witnesses claim that he was perfectly sane, merely outraged.
He was arrested by the Carabinieri (one of Italy’s main law enforcement agencies) and sent to a psychiatric hospital, where he was bound to a bed for 4 days, drip fed and sedated.
The hospital (...)

The economy of Naples is slowly changing, to become increasingly centered on the basis of the presence of NATO. The young troops involved do not come mainly from the Naples region, but in general from all of Southern Italy, severely penalised by a level of unemployment among young people which is three and one half times superior to the European average. The money invested in the development of these military installations is not only far from an indispensable expense, but is now absent from the economy of Southern Italy.

On the occasion of the grotesque speech by Giuseppe Conte before the Italian ambassadors, Manlio Dinucci reminds us that whatever the sympathy we may have for the people of the United States, their country is still the main predator of humanity. We can in no circumstance claim to share their «values».

Massimo D’Alema entered into history by leading his country, Italy, into NATO’s criminal war against ex-Yugoslavia. At that time, the world had become unipolar, and no-one in the West was worried about violating international law and launching a war against the decision of the Security Council. The same D’Alema is working today to create a Greater Albania which includes what is currently Kosovo.

The reorganisation of the US base Camp Darby (Italy) masks the transfer of special forces to US command. This system already existed in the past. It was this mechanism which enabled the creation of Gladio, the service for NATO’s secret actions in Italy. Since December 2015 (article 7bis of Law 198), the President of the Italian Council has the possibility of pursuing military operations by Intelligence operations. This news gives more weight to the hypothesis that we published two months ago – NATO is preparing a wave of attacks in Europe.

Contrary to official communications and comments from the different political parties, no-one is opposed to the expenditure by the new Italian government. All political formations support the growth of military spending, even if it is in no way required by the current situation.
Remarks by Giuseppe Conte to the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly
by
Giuseppe Conte

Madam President,
Mr. Secretary-General,
Distinguished Delegates,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am honored to take the floor today before this Assembly as the spokesman of the will of the Italian Government and people to confirm our commitment alongside and in favor of the United Nations.
In a global context that is .increasingly fragmented, multipolar, and in constant evolution, we are convinced, in fact, that the international community needs more effective multilateralism and a United (...)

Since the reorganisation of 2012, the US base of Camp Darby in Italy no longer houses the field hospitals for the Middle East. It has become both a vast reserve for the grocery stores of other Western American bases and a gigantic arsenal. Far from shrinking, as had been announced, the camp just keeps getting bigger.

At the end of the Second World War, allied troops occupied the European continent. While France and Russia have withdrawn today, the United States and the United Kingdom still maintain troops there. For the last year, planning for a world war against China and Russia, the Pentagon is using numerous bases in Italy to massively increase the storage of its weapons in Europe, including nuclear bombs.

On 21 July 2018, US President Donald Trump received the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte, publicly confirming that he acknowledged Italy’s pre-eminence in Libya.
By doing so, the White House undermined France’s efforts to appropriate Libyan oil.
During the war that the Obama Administration brought into motion against Libya, Silvio Berlusconi (Italy’s Prime Minister at the time), was the only Western leader that tried to defend the Libyan Guide Muammar al-Gaddafi. However, the Italian (...)

The event on June 2nd (the day in 1946 when Italy became a Republic) was not a military parade, not even a parade, but a "review", according to the Ministry of Defense that directed it (Minister Pinotti’s final act).
The parade at the Fori Imperiali - in front of the newly-installed government - was symbolically opened by 330 mayors representing civil society, followed by all the sectors of the Armed Forces, to celebrate "Italians’ Day - United for the Country”.
In his message, President of (...)
