The Nobel Prize for peace 2009 : ’’I’m really good at killing people’’

In a book published this morning, journalists Mark Halperin and John Hellemann scrutinize the 2012 US presidential campaign opposing Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.

Having good connections in both camps, they report the remarks made by both candidates. According to the journalists, Obama likes to joke with his colleagues about the drone assassinations he orders. Thus, he is supposed to have stated ’’I’m really good at killing people’’.

The White House having declined to comment, the spokesperson simply indicated that the president hates leaks. During his presidency, the Nobel Peace Prize laureate has reportedly ordered the killing of between 2000 and 3000 people.

Double Down : Game Change 2012, by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann (The Penguin Press, 512 pp., 18 $).
