4 February 2013On January 22 a telling leak cropped up in the Internet. British defense contractor’s BRITAM server was hacked and megabytes of classified internal files of the firm were released to the public. Now the case is acquiring a Britamgate scale due to the publication on Prison Planet. What is the story behind the leakage? Why this scandal is likely to turn around the situation in Syria?
1 February 2013Western media relayed disinformation by Israeli sources announcing that their army had attacked a Syrian military convoy transporting weapons to Hezbollah in Lebanon. According to the press articles, Sam-7 missiles or chemical weapons ready for deployment were allegedly part of the shipment.
In fact, the Israeli Air Force bombed a research center located in Jemraya in the suburbs of Damascus, on Wednesday afternoon, January 30, 2013. There were no Sam-7’s or chemical weapons housed at the (...)
Moscow (Russia) | 20 January 2013The war in Syria appears to be increasingly remote-controlled from abroad. Almost all states in the region seem to be involved to varying degrees, with Qatar providing the lion’s share of the funds going to the Free Syrian Army. However, the investment has generated disappointing returns. To avoid its funds from going up in smoke, Qatar has decided to dole them out on the basis of the actions carried out. As a result, the ASL began staging its most spectacular and deadly attacks to the detriment of its real military objectives.
14 January 2013France and the Gulf monarchies are bent on presenting Bashar al-Assad as a bloody tyrant and on blaming him for the 60 000 victims counted by the High Commissioner on Human Rights. Flipping this rhetoric, President al-Assad delivered a speech to the nation on January 6, 2012. He emerged as the leader of a country under attack from the outside and he pronounced the eulogy of the 60 000 martyrs. Symbolizing this claim, a Syrian flag composed of faces of the victims was deployed in the (...)
2 January 2013The battle that raged starting December 9 in the Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp (south of Damascus) has revealed new alliances.
The strategic objective was to involve Palestinians in the war in Syria, mobilizing them on a sectarian basis (they are mostly Sunni) against the secular regime. But the refugees did not allow themselves to be manipulated, no more than in Lebanon in 2007, when the mercenaries of Fatah al-Islam tried to mobilize the Palestinians of Nahr el-Bared against (...)

Thierry Meyssan: "Syrian terrorists were trained by the KLA in Kosovo" by
Thierry Meyssan
9 December 2012France, the United Kingdom, Israel and Qatar have prepared yet another plan for intervention in Syria. 6000 new jihadists, including 4000 from Lebanon, should be poised to attack the upscale Mezzeh neighborhood south of Damascus, home to many embassies and where several top military and civilian officials reside. An incident involving chemical weapons across the country is set to increase the tension. A traitorous general would then claim to have seized power and call to the West for help, (...)
8 December 2012The Free Syrian Army released a video in which it boasts of preparing chemical weapons.
The sequence shows a person dressed in fatigues and wearing a mask, gassing two rabbits in a laboratory. At the end of the video, he tells the viewers that that is the fate that awaits the Alawites and those who support them.
It is impossible to identify the toxic cans stacked on shelves, which bear the label of the Turkish Tekkim laboratories, or to detect the type of product used to kill the animals. (...)

Welcome to the "liberated zone" of Aleppoby
Thierry Meyssan
Damascus (Syria) | 28 November 2012Thanks to logistical support from France, the new authorities of the "liberated zone" of Aleppo are currently setting up a religious dictatorship inspired by the Saudi model. The reality is very different from the soothing declarations of Presidents Sarkozy and Hollande concerning the defence of liberty and the promotion of democracy.
9 November 2012In an act of unequivocal and explicit hostility toward Iran, the United States took the name of Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) off its list of foreign terrorist organizations on Friday, September 28, showing its unconditional support to the sworn enemies of the Iranian nation straight from the shoulder.
The U.S. government announced the decision a few days after the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton submitted a file of classified information about the terrorist cult to the Congress. (...)

NATO packs it in; Turkey on the verge of a nervous breakdown by

Damascus (Syria) | 16 October 2012On October 8, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CTSO) began maneuvers dubbed "Inviolable Fraternity" ("НЕРУШИМОЕ БРАТСТВО"). The scenario focuses on the deployment of a peace force in an imaginary country where international jihadists and terrorist organizations operate against a backdrop of ethnic and confessional divisions. The accredited diplomatic corps, which was invited to attend the exercises, listened attentively to the opening address of the deputy secretary general of the organization. (...)
17 September 2012The experts of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry (CoI) on the situation in Syria confirmed on Monday, 17 September 2012 in Geneva, the presence of foreign armed groups who are attempting to topple the Syrian government.
Before the Council of Human Rights, CoI chair Paulo Pinheiro said that Islamic extremists in Syria are either fighting alongside armed anti-government groups or operating on their own. He also characterized the presence of these elements in Syria as (...)

Salafism+CIA: The winning formula to destabilize Russia, the Middle Eastby
F. William Engdahl
Frankfurt (Germany) | 13 September 2012The assassination of the most respected Sufi religious leader in Dagestan, Russia’s volatile Caucasus, comes as Salafist jihadists in Libya murder a US Ambassador who was actually a key player in ousting Gaddafi and bringing the Salafist Muslim Brotherhood and Jihadists into power. Throughout the entire Islamic world today, a wave of hate is being unleashed in the name of Islamic fundamentalism that could bring a new world war. This is the consequence of the Greater Middle East Project put in play in 2010 and earlier by the Washington-London-Tel Aviv axis. Manipulating religious fervor is an explosive cocktail as F. William Engdahl shows here.
24 August 2012The BBC has sensationally censored a news story and a video showing Syrian rebels forcing a prisoner to become a suicide bomber, a war crime under the Geneva Conventions, presumably because it reflected badly on establishment media efforts to portray the FSA as glorious freedom fighters.
The video, a copy of which can be viewed below (the original BBC version was deleted), shows Free Syrian Army rebels preparing a bomb that is loaded onto the back of a truck to be detonated at a government (...)
22 August 2012A Syrian 22 years confessed on national television to working with armed terrorist groups in Douma, a town in the province of Damascus, and being an accomplice to the abduction, torture during interrogation and murder of women.
In confessions broadcast by the Syrian TV, 22 year-old Sabah Othman said that she is originally from Douma and that she was married at the age of 14 and abandoned by her husband three years later.
She met a man named Ala’a Mahfoud from Harasta on the pretext that (...)
Damascus (Syria) | 25 July 2012Though the Western press portrays the Free Syrian Army as an armed revolutionary group, for more than a year Thierry Meyssan has affirmed that it is on the contrary a counter-revolutionary body. According to him, it would have progressively passed from the hands of reactionary monarchies in the Gulf to those of Turkey, acting for NATO. Such a non-mainstream affirmation needs demonstrative proof...
Mercenaries used by Bush, now fighting Obama’s secret wars
Blackwater (Xe): The Secret US War in Pakistanby
Andrew Hobbs, Brittney Gates, Kelsea Arnold
24 July 2012According to a bipartisan commission report released to the U.S. Congress in February 2011, the heavy reliance on private security companies in current contingency operations, begun during the Bush Administration, has effectively surged under President Barack Obama, raising use-of-force issues and creating a gap in legal accountability. Private contractors flying under the radar are being used on an unprecedented scale to perform the dirty work for the U.S. military involving a myriad of human rights violations, as described in this article addressing the situation in Pakistan.
10 December 2011For Terry Jones, the military-industrial complex is no stranger to the current campaigns against Iran. According to the British artist, we find ourselves in exactly the same situation as the taxpayers of medieval Italian cities: We’re having our money siphoned off to pay for a greedy military machine.
29 August 2011The former chief of the terrorist Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), Abdelhakim Belhadj, who led the "rebel" onslaught on Tripoli and on Muammar Gaddafi’s Bab al-Aziziyah compound, is now leader of the newly established Tripoli Military Council.
As reported last Thursday by the Algerian daily El Khabar, Belhadj had been arrested, in 2004, by the CIA in Malaysia for terrorist activities and later handed over to Libya. In March 2010, Belhadj was released by Saif al Islam Gaddafi, son of (...)
Organized Political Terrorism
The Norwegian Massacre, the State, the Media and Israelby
James Petras
New York (United States) | 1 August 2011The 22 July 2011 bombing of the office of the Norwegian Prime Minister, Labor Party Jen Stoltenberg, which killed 8 civilians, and the subsequent political assassination of 68 unarmed activists of the Labor Party Youth on Utoeya Island, just 20 minutes from Oslo, by militant neo-fascist Christian-Zionists, raises fundamental questions about the growing links between the legal Far-Right, the ‘mainstream media’, the Norwegian police, Israel and rightwing terrorism.
Karachi (Pakistan) | 3 March 2011The President of the United States deceived the American people – and the world – about a U.S. spy held for killing two Pakistanis, and blatantly misrepresented the laws governing diplomatic immunity. The U.S. corporate media dutifully did what their government told them to do and they have now admitted as much. The inherent wrongdoing and corruption created around the world by the U.S. empire is sometimes exemplified by a single event such as the one analysed here by Pakistani columnist Shahid R. Siddiqi.
Operation Paperclip
CIA Denial of Coddling Nazis Far From the Truth - Part 2 by
Hank P. Albarelli Jr.
Miami (United States) | 26 February 2011In the second part of his investigation, Hank Albarelli peels off another layer of the ongoing Operation Paperclip cover up and unveils one of its darker legacies. Working with Paperclip Nazi scientists and building on the results of their often deadly research, the CIA tested LSD psychoactive drugs on almost 7,000 unwitting U.S. citizens over a 20-year period. Those LSD experiments, and Paperclip itself, were among the first manifestations of what became a guiding principle of the Cold War right to the present day, that the ends justify the means.
Operation Paperclip
CIA’s Denial of Protecting Nazis is Blatant Lie - Part 1by
Hank P. Albarelli Jr.
Miami (United States) | 7 December 2010Leaks or revelations are often more compelling because of what they don’t reveal. Through Operation Paperclip, the U.S. organized a monumental transfer of black technology by actively recruiting Nazi criminals for employment by U.S. intelligence. Author H. P. Albarelli excavates the part that was missing from the recently-outed official report: the U.S. pointedly chose fervent Nazi scientists with experience in chemical, biological and radioactive warfare to become the architects of the CIA’s darkest military experiments with human guinea pigs, reminiscent of Nazi Germany.
16 November 2010It has been developed into a perfectly honed technique: the airing of a confidential report designed to mask the truth that it was supposed to uncover.
Thus, on its front page The New York Times has recently released a U.S. Justice Department report, kept under wraps for four years, relating to Nazi criminals who found refuge in the United States.
The report pours over tens of cases, providing such titillating details as the conservation of Joseph Mengele’s scalp for DNA identification. (...)
Miami (United States) | 22 October 2010A US attorney is bringing suit in a Federal court against a private foreign-based "security" company for needlessly and brutally killing two Iraqi women back in 2007. This case is directly connected to the lucrative business of “promoting democracy” and “security”. Hank Albarelli follows the trail of the U.S. funds going to certain NGOs to “bring stability” to Iraq and exposes the stupefying international web of connections between these groups and the mercenaries whose numbers increase as the juicy privatization business proliferates.
New York (United States) | 28 June 2010With just a 30 percent turnout, the election of new Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos - one of Washington’s closest disciples in Latin America - was hailed as a "victory for democracy" by major western media outlets. However, they blithely omitted to report on Santos’ presumed role in the killings of over two thousand people while he was Defence Minister, and on his close involvement with death squads and narco traffickers. At the same time, Venezuela’s efforts to forge a more just society are relentlessly berated by the same media.
23 August 2009According to a recent report by the New York Times, the Obama administration has retained the services of the notorious Blackwater guards to carry out drone attacks in Afghanistan, denoting no substantive distinction from the Bush administration’s use of Blackwater - now operating under the banner of Xe Services LLC - to carry out ’targeted assassinations’ in Iraq. With the number of military contractors in Afghanistan far exceeding the U.S. soldiers on the ground [*], what has so far been revealed regarding Washington’s arrangements with Blackwater and its more than a dozen affiliate companies might be just the beginning.
12 August 2009An institutional inquiry into militia growth in the United States points to mounting activities on the part of armed groups amidst economic and state problems.
A new report published by the non-profit US legal firm, Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), identifies the ailing economy and a ’moderate’ Democrat president of African descent as the root causes for the increasing dissent which has led to the mushrooming sprout of armed bands and hate crimes across the country.

9 July 2009"Gas the Arabs" painted on the gate outside a Palestinian home in Hebron (al-Khalil) by Jewish settlers. It is signed "JDL" (Jewish Defence League)
On July 3, 2009, members of the Jewish Defense League, wearing masks, attacked and vandalized the cultural center "Résistance" in Paris.
Created by Olivia Zemor, "Résistance" comprises a book store, a documentation center and a conference room, mainly used by the militant group CAPJPO (Coordination Group Calling for a Just Peace in the Middle (...)
