The Minister of Defence of Estonia and Chairman of Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica (IRL), Urmas Reinsalu, sent on 7 July 2013 a message of support to the members of the "Estonian Union of freedom fighters," gathered for their annual get-together.

The "Union of freedom fighters" brings together Nazi veterans who fought to "keep Estonia safe from communism."

In 2012, Urmas Reinsalu had personally attended this annual gathering, held on the island of Saaremaa. He congratulated the former SS for having "liberated the fatherland" (sic).

For ten years, Estonia and Latvia have regularly manifested their support for Nazism. Both of these states are members of NATO and the European Union, two organizations formally established on the ruins of Nazism.
