September 11th, 2001
The attacks of 11 September 2001 constitute the foundation myth used by the Anglo-Americans to justify their military gigantism. In a world where they face no rivals, they invented an imaginary and invisible enemy of unparalleled power: terrorism. It is therefore impossible to challenge such global military domination without at the same time questioning the U.S. Government’s version of the September 11 attacks and the alleged existence of a global Islamic conspiracy. Initiated by Thierry Meyssan through this website and his published works, the 9/11 Truth Movement is at present endorsed by the majority of public opinion the world over.
Just like a spool of thread, the story of Septemer 11 first started to unravel with questions regarding the presence of explosives in the wreckage of the World Trade Center and the absence of any plane parts at the Pentagon. It continued with the skepticism surrounding the other attacks attributed to Al Qaeda. It finally led to the questioning of the anti-terrorist laws and the legitimacy of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The persistence of the big lies propagated by the Bush and Obama administrations is nothing short of dumbfounding. While all evidence shows that Osama bin Laden had nothing to do with September 11 and that he was not killed in Pakistan by Navy SEALs, the global ruling class continues to maintain such fasehoods. At what point will we finally open our eyes?
Israel’s role in the events of September 11, 2001—that shape the 21st century—is the subject of bitter controversy, or rather a real taboo even within the 9/11 Truth Movement, causing the ostracism of the man who dared to broach the subject, Thierry Meyssan. Most advocacy groups, mobilized behind the slogan "9/11 was an Inside Job," remain discreet regarding the evidence involving the secret services of the Jewish state. Laurent Guyénot focuses on certain compelling—though grossly under reported—facts and analyzes the mechanisms of denial.
The ground is giving way under the feet of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the attacks of September 11. The main source of the Commission’s report, Abu Zoubeida, whose confessions were extracted under torture, is now officially considered worthless. And the CIA agent who arrested and interrogated Zoubeida has admitted he invented everything.
Still imprisoned at Guantánamo Bay, Abu Zoubeida is the main source of Western intelligence on Al Qaeda. He gave under torture the names of other leaders of the terrorist organization, who were arrested in turn and provided the information now in the hands of the U.S. authorities. In short, he is the main source of what the latter supposedly know about al-Qaida. Problem: it is now recognized that Abu Zoubeida was never a member of al-Qaeda and that his confessions under torture were made to end his suffering. Most of what the U.S. intelligence claims to know about Al-Qaida is a pure figment of Zoubeida’s fertile imagination. And all of it is wrong.
In the third and final part of his study, Peter Dale Scott shows that several administrations participated in the concoction of the official version of the 9/11 events, either by fabricating evidence, or by withholding information. In doing so, the former Canadian diplomat brings to light the role of U.S. institutions deeply buried within the State, unknown to the general public.
Continuing his analysis, Peter Dale Scott shows that liaison arrangements among the intelligence agencies of allied countries gave rise to parallel services and shadow operations. This former Canadian diplomat thereby reveals the method that allowed the September 11 plotters to employ means appertaining to the U.S. state apparatus without the knowledge of other insiders.
To mark the release of the French version of Peter Dale Scott’s latest book, "The American War Machine", we are publishing a detailed study undertaken by this Canadian diplomat on the attacks of September 11. He brings to light evidence of premeditation on the part of a faction within the U.S. military-industrial complex.
On Tuesday, Americans marked the 11th anniversary of the September 11 attacks that left nearly 3,000 people dead and led to wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Reports coming from the US suggest that the day was marked with familiar ceremony, but also "a sense that it’s time for the Americans to move forward after a decade of remembrance."
Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has criticized Western media for creating hype over the September 11 attacks and ignoring more than one million victims of the US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“The materialistic view of Zionists has destroyed the sacredness of media and today media no longer regulate the relations among humans, but have turned into a means of domination and gaining power,” Ahmadinejad said on Monday.
The Iranian chief executive stated that a major part of the events (...)
Eleven years after 9/11, Voltaire Network has the privilege to present a newly released film containing undisclosed images, footage and documents about Kurt Sonnenfeld and his work at Ground Zero as videographer on assignment for the U.S. Government. Sonnenfeld has been living in exile in Argentina since 2003.
On several occasions, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak raised questions about who was behind the 9/11 attacks, in particular questioning whether the alleged perpetrators had the necessary flying skills to carry out the attacks. Before becoming president, Mubarak had a successful career in the Egyptian Air Force, having been a pilot, instructor, and squadron leader. He’d eventually become director of the Air Force Academy, Air Force chief of staff, commander of the Air Force, and deputy (...)
Recent threats by the CIA prompt two freelance journalists to delay an investigative podcast naming CIA analysts - since promoted and granted cover - complicit in obstruction of key pre-9/11 intelligence. The podcast will present revelations from former top US government personnel, including Richard Clarke, Pasquale D’Amuro, Bob Baer, and Mark Rossini, who echo concerns of former 9/11 Commission Chair Thomas Kean.
The attacks of September 11 are a continuation of the strategy of tension. They represent nothing new in Washington policies, if not an escalation to extend this strategy on a global scale. They provided the pretext for setting up an international monitoring system and to further the expansion of imperial wars. From this point of view, the commemoration of the tenth anniversary was used by the sponsors of the attacks to pose once more as victims, all the better to persevere with their goals.
The tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks has given rise to a profusion of articles, documentaries and television programs that certify the Bush administration’s version of the events, while world opinion has become largely skeptical. For Thierry Meyssan, who sparked the global debate on the interpretation of the attacks, the overwhelming media campaign is the imperial system’s last attempt to preserve its apparent legitimacy and justify its future wars.
Mahathir Mohamad says it is not unthinkable for former US President George W. Bush to lie about who was responsible for the 9/11 terror attacks on the American soil. [Editor’s note: Then-Prime Minister Mohamad is shown in the photo (L) with William Rodriguez, 9/11 hero and the "last man out" of the Towers at a private 9/11 presentation.]
In a post published in his personal blog chedet on Friday, former Malaysian prime minister said that the attacks on the World Trade Center in downtown (...)
10 years after the September 11 attacks, the United States government has made it clear that it had something to hide. From the White House counter-terrorism advisor to the co-chairs of the National Commission of investigation, one after the other key political figures have stepped forward to disassociate themselves from an official version that simply does not add up. Wayne Madsen flashes back to this massive cover-up operation.
In NATO powers and allied states, the media and politicians have embraced the Islamic conspiracy theory as the obvious and indisputable explanation for the September 11 attacks. But one man’s truth is another man’s lie. In the rest of the world, what prevails is the idea that the event was orchestrated by the neocons. This is, for example, the view of Ambassador Mohsen PakAein, in charge of Iran’s Afghan policy.
The organizers of the 64th Cannes film festival decided to feature two films by Iranian opponents: This is not a film, by Panahi and Mirtahmasb, will be screened under a special session, whereas Goodbye, of Mohammad Rasoulof, has been included in the Un Certain Regard section.
True to its political position, the Festival accepted five films presented by Iran, but chose to give them the lowest possible profile.
One of them is The 9/11 Black Box by Mohamedreza Eslamloo, with Thierry Meyssan (...)

Good evening. Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who’s responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children. It was nearly 10 years ago that a bright September day was darkened by the worst attack on the American people in our history. The images of 9/11 are seared into our (...)
An advocacy group affilitated with the American Jewish Committee, in league with the U.S. State Department, has whipped up a campaign to get law Professor Richard Falk sacked by the UN for his skeptical views on 9/11. In the same move, they would conveniently be getting rid of an outspoken critic of Israeli policy toward the Palestinians. Canadian Professor Anthony Hall shares his notes on his conversation with the UN Special Rapporteur exploring these burning issues (videos below).
Speaking on 13 October 2010 to tens of thousands of Resistance supporters gathered at Al-Raya Stadium in South Beirut, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad reverted once more to the issue of September 11.
The Iranian President, who called for an independent UN truth finding mission before the recent session of the UN General Assembly, emphasized that this is the only successful road out of the current international crisis.
Elaborating further, he indicated that everything led to believe that the September (...)
On September 11, 2001 the world watched helplessly as the attacks that plunged the United States into mourning took place. Against all logic, the Bush Administration attributed them to an Islamist plot hatched by a group of fanatics inside a cave in Afghanistan. This accusation was exploited to justify a war against terrorism that was to start in Afghanistan and Iraq and extend, according to President Bush, to 60 countries.
In the immediate aftermath of the attacks, I initiated an (...)
I am grateful to the Almighty God who has granted me the opportunity to appear before this world Assembly once again.
I wish to begin by commemorating those who lost their lives in the horrible flood in Pakistan and expressing my heartfelt sympathy with the familieswho lost their loved ones, as well as with the people and the Government of Pakistan. I urge everyone to assist their fellow men and women as a humane duty.
Let me thank Mr. Ali Abdussalam Treki, who presided over the General (...)
With his habitual acumen, F. William Engdahl peers behind the scenes of the Ground Zero Mosque and the Koran burning hullabaloo. He detects a geopolitical manipulation, ultimately serving to reinforce the US Government’s narrative of the disintegration of the WTC towers and to lend credence to the underlying crusader ideology of the "clash of civilizations". All of it tying in with the need to justify US military occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the expanding militarization of the region.
In stark contrast with the glibness of official speeches on September 11, Thierry Meyssan offers his assessment of where we stand nine years after the attacks. His lucidity and steadfastness are bearing fruit. A large majority of people around the world no longer believe the US government’s account. In the United States itself, the most recent poll shows that 74% of the population actually doubts the official version. Even the chairmen of the presidential investigative commission now admit they are skeptical about their own report. The tenacious initiator of this debate believes that the controversy around the credibility of the official version is obsolete; it is time to urge the UN to take concrete action against the real culprits.
Kurt Sonnenfeld’s case is outstanding for at least two reasons. He is in possession of official documentation that contradicts the U.S. Government’s account of the 9/11 events. He is a high-profile U.S. citizen forced to seek refugee status because of his government’s dogged persecution. Any relation between these two facts is not purely coincidental. Voltaire Network’s second exclusive interview of Kurt Sonnenfeld, conducted in Buenos Aires, is presented below.
The official report by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) relating to the two planes that crashed into WTC on September 11, 2001 shows that they were traveling at a speed of 945 km/h and 796 km/h respectively.
Pilots for 9/11 Truth, an international organization of pilots and aviation professionals, has pointed out that, according to the manufacturer, the Boeing 767 develops structural failure and dismembers at a speed surpassing 660 km/h when flying at near sea level in thick (...)
In an interview with ABC News Senior White House Correspondent Jake Tapper on “This Week” (27 June 2010), CIA Director Leon Panetta said the last time the CIA had “precise information" on Osama bin Laden was when he left Afghanistan to cross into Pakistan (late 2001).
Recruited by the CIA in 1979, Osama bin Laden - of Yemeni-Saudi nationality and a businessman at the time - was in charge of financing the Afghan Mujahideen against the Communists. He purportedly turned against the United (...)
A number of press agencies reported on the existence of a letter that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on 13 April 2010.
Early dispatches signalled that Iran was requesting a U.N. investigation into the attacks of September 11, 2001, as well as the condemnation of the attacks inside Iran perpetrated by Jundallah, a terrorist organization sponsored by NATO.
However, all that changed when Foreign Policy magazine - belonging to the Brookings (...)
