NATO Statement on Russia’s failure to comply with the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty

Following nearly six years of U.S. and Allied engagement with Russia, on 4 December 2018, NATO Allies declared that Russia has developed and fielded a missile system, the 9M729, which violates the INF Treaty, and poses significant risks to Euro-Atlantic security. Allies strongly supported the finding of the United States that Russia is in material breach of its obligations under the INF Treaty and called upon Russia to urgently return to full and verifiable compliance.
Since that (...)

Christmas Day (2018): Tsahal managed to bomb a target in Syria despite new anti-air protection. This is the second time that the aeronautical military is operating in Syria following the deployment of the S-300 missiles, state-of-the-art missiles and the coordination system: Polyana D4M1.
The Israeli planes fired missiles from Lebabon’s air space in the direction of an airport in the capital of Syria, just as the city was celebrating the birth of Christ for the first time since the end (...)

The US Air Force is condemned to defeat if it confronts the Syrian Arab Army, which now has in its possession Russian anti-air materials, the best in the world. The US’s only viable option is to leave, sparing itself any humiliation.
History is repeating itself. Once before, in Iraq, the United States had used Kurdish combattants, promising them a State before letting them be massacred by Saddam Hussein. Today the US lets other Kurds to whom it has also promised a State, face up to Turkey alone. _ In a few months the war will be over. After eight years of fighting and tens of thousands of Islamist mercenaries being sacrificed, Nato’s dream of destroying Syria’s state structures will have failed.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon, colleagues, friends.
Let us begin our traditional end-of-year meeting that we call a news conference.
As always, I will spend just a few brief seconds to sum up the results of the outgoing year. A lot has been said already, but I have the latest data reflecting the most recent results, some just a couple of days old.
In the first nine months of 2018, GDP increased by 1.7 percent, while the Economic Development Ministry expects the (...)

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon, colleagues, ladies and gentlemen. I’m at your service.
Question: Good afternoon, Mr President.
With all due respect to Argentina’s G20 Presidency, I still have a question about Russia-US relations. Once again, your meeting with President Trump fell through; he cancelled it at the last moment. Maybe he is wary of you, maybe he had some other reasons. Why do you think he did this, and how can one develop or maintain a dialogue with the (...)

Addressing the participants of the “Mediterranean Dialogue 2018” in Rome, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, declared that it impossible to achieve peace in Libya and Iraq while issues relating to Palestine remain unresolved.
In the past, all even Israel agreed that all conflicts currently being played out in the Near East are impacted by the oldest issue of them all, the conditions for establishing a State of Israel. However the Israeli leaders that defend the thesis (...)

On 25 November 2018, Ukraine’s military navy intentionally violated the Russian maritime space in Crimea.
After gathering evidence of the violation of Russian territorial waters and considering it a hostile act, the Russian Federation proceeded to intercept and lead to port the Ukrainian armoured patrol boats or artillery Berdyansk and Nikopol as well as the tug boat Yani-Kapou . All these belong to Ukraine’s military navy.
In Kiev, the Ukrainian Security and Defence Council proposed to (...)

The new unilateral sanctions by the United States against Iran, Russia and Syria add to the previous actions concerning the same three targets. They now form the most unforgiving embargo in History. The way in which they have been organised is illegal according to the definition of the Charter of the United Nations – these are weapons of war, designed for killing.

Introduction
After US President Donald Trump’s public statements about Washington’s intention to withdraw from the INF Treaty unilaterally, politicians, diplomats, and other related experts, as well as the entire world community have been focused on this matter. The world is increasingly aware of the risks and threats this rash decision could entail not only for regional but also for global international security and stability as a whole.
At this briefing, we primarily would like to provide (...)

The Foreign Ministry hereby issues a strong protest against the gross violation of the rules of peaceful passage in the territorial waters of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea by Ukrainian naval ships, that took place on November 25, 2018. Russia has lodged a demand for an urgent UN Security Council meeting to discuss the current situation.
Russia has repeatedly warned the Kiev regime and its Western patrons about the danger of inflating artificial hysteria in connection with the Sea (...)

The Russian Federation is seriously concerned about Ukraine’s continued attempts to aggravate the situation in the Sea of Azov. The latest act of fomenting tensions between Russia and Ukraine is hindering the restoration of bilateral relations and contradicts regional and international security interests.
Russia regrets that Kiev’s confrontational policy of destabilising Russian-Ukrainian relations has been supported by some countries, including EU members.
Russia roundly rejects any (...)

Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is designating nine targets in an international network through which the Iranian regime, working with Russian companies, provides millions of barrels of oil to the Syrian government. The Assad regime, in turn, facilitates the movement of hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars (USD) to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF) for onward transfer to HAMAS and Hizballah. U.S. sanctions (...)

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Vladimir Putin

President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan (retranslated): Mr President of the Russian Federation, my friend Vladimir Putin. Ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you from the bottom of my heart, with love and respect.
First of all, I would like to address the President of the Russian Federation, Mr Vladimir Putin, and thank him for his visit to the wonderful city of Istanbul, to our country. Welcome to you and your delegation.
Relations between Turkey and Russia have reached their peak. This is (...)

Russian Myth: We gave the Americans fully detailed information about when and at what distance tests of this missile had been conducted.
Fact: Russia has repeatedly changed its cover story regarding its violating missile, and this claim represents only the latest iteration. For over four years Russia denied the existence of the missile and provided no information about it, despite the United States providing Russia the location of the tests and the names of the companies involved in the (...)

Since the time of Silvio Berlusconi, Italy has been attempting to draw closer to Russia, with which it has several common interests. However, the promise of marriage has never yet led to any important concrete measures, because Italy is a member of NATO, and as such, is obliged to be an enemy of Russia.

In reaction to the article by Valentin Vasilescu revealing that in theory Russia could sink US airplane carriers as they crossed the Gibralta straits, the Pentagon has had a documentary published through CNBC. The US news channel’s thesis is that Russian missile Avangard would not be able operate. However to our minds, the basis for this assertion does not work.

In his previous article, Valentin Vasilescu demonstrated that it was impossible for the Pentagon to establish an anti-Russian blockade in the Mediterranean nor anywhere else. In this article, he applies his thesis and he shows us that the US no longer has the capacity to lead a naval war against Russia in East Greenland. Moscow has already demonstrated the superiority of its weapons on the ground in Syria. Even if the clash between the two Great Powers has been avoided with care, what is clear, is that today, Russia no longer fears the possibility of a conventional US attack.

While the Hindu government of Narendra Modi seemed to be moving closer to the United States, India has just bought five billion dollars worth of S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missiles. This return to the historic alliance with Moscow corresponds to the the evolutions presently under way in Europe, particularly in Hungary and Turkey. For General Vinod Saighal, who has always supported this option, only a Russo-Indian military alliance coupled with economic cooperation with China can guarantee peace in Asia.
MiG-31: the vehicle for the “burevestnik”, the cruise missile of nuclear propulsion?
by
Valentin Vasilescu

According to US intelligence sources, the Russian tests on cruise missiles of nuclear propulsion have failed. However, the US’s ambassador to Nato has suddenly declared that the US would destroy the missiles that Russia constructed in breach of the treaty on intermediate range nuclear weapons. Explanations:

On 4 October 2018 a meeting of the Nato Ministers of Defense was held in Brussels. Following this meeting, the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg mentioned that Russia may have violated the INF Treaty.
Signed in 1987, the Treaty on Nuclear Weapons of Intermediate Range (INF) should have put an end to the Cold War. Under the treaty, both the USSR and the USA undertook that at the same time they would destroy all their intermediate range nuclear weapons.
However in 2007, Russia (...)

While the international press is asking questions on the number and version of the S-300 missiles that will be delivered in two weeks to Syria, Valentin Vasilescu is more interested in the Russian anti-air set up. This is involves applying a total no-fly zone to the Westerners (Israeli included). Nothing more, nothing less.
Remarks by Sergey Lavrov to the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly
by
Sergey Lavrov

Distinguished Ms. President,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
The statements at the general debate prove that international relations are going through quite a complicated and controversial historic period.
Today we all are witnessing a collision of two opposite trends. On the one hand, we see the strengthening of polycentric principles of the world order, the steady development of new centers of economic growth, the aspiration of peoples to preserve sovereignty and choose development models that (...)

The strategy of the European populist parties linked to Steve Bannon has run into a difficult contradiction. Logic would seem to indicate that they should be seeking a rapprochement with Russia, as the Italians have done, for example. But their US sponsor is working in the opposite direction - to sabotage the economy and the political confirmation of Moscow.

Russia is following through with the decisions it took after the Russian Il-20 plane was destroyed on 17 September 2018 during a joint British- French – Israeli attack. The Russian Minister for Defense is supplying the Syrian army not just with S-300 (superior system of anti-air defence), but also with all material for electronic warfare. At the same time, the Pentagon is withdrawing its Patriots from several countries in the region. The balance of forces is profoundly modified.

The confrontation which recently occurred in Lattakia may result in a complete global redistribution of the cards. There are two reasons for this, the second of which is being hidden from the Western world. First of all, it cost the lives of 15 Russian soldiers; secondly, it not only implicates Israël, but also the United Kingdom and France. This is potentially the most dangerous crisis in more than 60 years. We now have to find out whether President Trump, currently in the middle of his election campaign, is capable of supporting his Russian counterpart, in order that the United States and Russia may sanction the colonial powers as they did in 1956, during the Suez crisis.

The Russian army is performing a major military exercise off the coast of Syria. This is why air and maritime routes have been temporarily closed in this part of the Mediterranean.
This Russian drill follows the destruction of a Russian plane during a joint British-French-Israeli attack on 17 September 2018. The target of this latter tri-state attack was located in the Syrian region of Latakia.
Following this war game, Russia could propose to Syria, the adoption of new rules creating no (...)

On 17 September 2018, at around 22 hrs (local time) a Russian military plane, Il-20, disappeared from the radar screens in the Mediterranean, approximately 35 km from the coasts of Syria. It returned to the air base of Hmeymim, with 14 people on board.
The incident occurred when a battle was to be waged in the area. From the international waters four Israeli F-16 planes, attacked the International Institute of Technical Industries in Latakia. The anti- air Syrian defense responded by (...)

The Russian and Turkish Presidents met at Sochi, on 17 September 2018.
After their previous meeting on 7 September in Teheran, Russia has hardened its tone. For the first time, it recalled the illegal nature of the Turkish military presence in Idleb, emphasizing that this would have to stop.
The first thing that Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have done is to sign international cooperation agreements on the construction of the Turkish Stream pipe line and the civil nuclear central (...)

The Russian Authorities continue to challenge the version that Flight MH-17 was brought to the ground by an air-ground missile. They declassified information contradicting the conclusions of the Dutch Commission of Inquiry Into the Crash.
Malaysian Airlines Flight 17, connecting Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was destroyed on 17 July 2014 as it was flying over the region of Donetsk (Ukraine). This was at the time of fighting between the coup-making government of Kiev and those seeking the (...)
