The Minister of Production and Commerce, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, said that so far 200,000 new jobs have been generated out of the expected 400,000 in the context of the “Vuelvan Caras” Mission, an employment program that seeks training of the unemployed and their later insertion in the nation’s productive economy.
Another achievement mentioned by Castro Soteldo is the integration of a multidisciplinary group to work in different areas of the Ministry of Production and Commerce (MPC), the backbone of all the activities and actions conducive to the conformation of a new productive model.
Among the goals for this yearend, he mentioned closing the year with a three point increase above the industrial density, which he said would imply the creation of more than 2,300 new enterprises, and also recalled that an important percentage has been achieved with the programs “Establish Your Own Business”, “The Factory of Factories”, and the program of state purchases.
