A photograph of Arab demonstrators burning a Danish flag is on the front page of the The New Republic, in which the title of the article of the editor in chief Martin Peretz, reads: “What the cartoons [of Mohammed] have revealed: the Islamists seem incapable of disagreeing peacefully”.

The New Republic is a weekly US Zionist-left newspaper. It strongly supports the forced democratization policy of the Middle East led by neoconservatives. The newspaper backs the occupation of Palestine, war in Afghanistan and plundering of Iraq, which have probably caused the death of more than 200 000 people over the last four years. It has never raised the incapability of the Americans to disagree peacefully.
