On 16 June 2020, the Iranian government announced that it is militarily supporting President al-Sarraj of the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya.
We remind our readers that President al-Sarraj was put in power by the Anglo-Saxons and subsequently recognized by the United Nations who saw it as a way of eliminating the Muslim Brotherhood in Lybia. He therefore became de facto the only legal authority, only later to reveal his links with the Brotherhood.
The Muslim Brotherhood is a secret (...)

Highlights of the proposed initiative Objectives
1. The initiative affirms the unity, territorial integrity and independence of Libya, and respect for all international efforts and initiatives and the relevant Security Council resolutions. It calls for compliance with a ceasefire to begin at 0600 hours on 8 June 2020.
2. The initiative is based primarily on the outcomes of the Berlin summit, which resulted in a comprehensive political solution that includes clear implementing steps for (...)

On February 12, the UN Security Council passed Resolution 2510 endorsing the results of the Berlin Conference on Libya. The Russian delegation abstained from voting because the document’s British authors declined to take into consideration certain aspects that Moscow views as principled.
During the discussion on the draft resolution, Russian representatives adhered to a clear and consistent position, formalised in the UN Security Council’s earlier resolutions on Libya. This implied the (...)

The Berlin Conference on Libya, which lasted about five hours, is over. It took rather long, about four months, to prepare it. It was preceded by five rounds of consultations at the level of senior officials. This resulted in the preparation of a detailed document that contains recommendations on ways to overcome the ongoing Libyan crisis. This document is divided into chapters, one of which has to do with efforts in the sphere of security and stipulates measures for attaining a lasting (...)

Today’s Berlin Conference on Libya, at the invitation of German Chancellor Merkel, has gathered the Governments of Algeria, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Turkey, the Republic of the Congo, United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States of America and High Representatives of the United Nations, the African Union, the European Union, and the League of Arab States.
2. We, the participants, note the Co-Chair’s statement on the political, (...)

The arrival of new weapons and fighters in Libya heralds a new war against the population. In reality, the situation has never calmed down since the attack by NATO in accordance with the Rumsfelf/Cebrowski strategy of endless war. By taking a further step, the protagonists will not solve anything, but will extend the conflict zone.

In accordance with the agreement closed between the Tunisian and Turkish presidents, Kaïs Saïed and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on Christmas Day, the migration of jihadists from Syria via Tunisia to Libya has begun.
The pendulum has swung back, when considering that the Free Syrian Army was created by the jihadists of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), who had joined the ranks of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, then served as NATO’s footsoldiers in Libya.
According to Middle East Eye, the Sultan (...)

We continue the episodic publication of Thierry Meyssan’s book, Before Our Eyes. In this episode, France appears divided: on the one hand, the President plays into the hands of the Anglo-Saxons and his Gaullist rival into the hands of Qatar, while two very right-wing ministers rely on former Libyan Prime Minister Baghdadi Mahmoudi to defend the Libyan people. In this moment of truth, each actor must position himself with fear in his stomach. Few will remain true to themselves.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has entered into a military alliance with the Libyan "government of national accord" (GNA), chaired by Fayez Al-Sarraj, based in Tripoli and backed by the United Nations. Erdoğan has already arranged for the delivery of armored vehicles and drones, but has yet to deploy regular troops.
In Ankara, the Grand National Assembly is expected imminently to authorize the Turkish army to send regular soldiers to Libya.
At the same time, however, the Turkish (...)

On 22 December 2019, Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, Conservative lawyer Nikos Dendias, travelled to Benghazi to meet the ministers designated by the Tobruk House of Representatives and their military leader, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar. He then moved on to Cairo and Cyprus.
Simultaneously, during a ceremony at the Gölcük Naval shipyard, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the decision to expedite Turkey’s submarine construction program. The 6 New Type 214 submarines which Turkey is (...)

President Erdoğan received President Al-Sarraj at the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul on 15 December 2019, upsetting the balance of forces in Libya.
Pursuant to the initial plans drawn up by the Pentagon and unveiled by the New York Times, there are currently three rival governments in Libya (Rumsfeld / Cebrowski strategy) . All three are supported militarily by the United States to keep them fighting against each other.
One of them has received the endorsement of the United Nations under (...)

We are continuing the publication of Thierry Meyssan’s book, “Before Our Very Eyes, Fake Wars and Big Lies”. In this episode, the author shows that post-colonial France was recruited by the United Kingdom and the United States to join the wars against Libya and Syria, without both powers informing her about their "Arab Spring" project. The French leaders, caught up in the misappropriation of funds, saw nothing coming. When they realized that they were being kept out of the planning process, their reaction was purely communicative: they tried to appear as the admirals of the operation, without worrying about the consequences of their partners’ actions.

The Turkish army organized the transfer of jihadists from Syria to Libya, followed by military advisers and equipment, including armored vehicles and drones.
Furthermore, it supervised the attacks carried out by the militia attached to the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord led by Fayez el-Sarraj, that is to say the government approved by the United Nations.
The GNA relies on the Muslim Brotherhood, Qatar and Turkey, which in 2011 placed at NATO’s disposal the militia from (...)

The Economic Summit of the Arab League was due to be held in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, on 19 and 20 January. However at least two issues raise doubts whether it will go ahead:
First, there is an intense battle between the member states of the Arab League on the convenience of the Syrian Arab Republic becoming a member again;
Second, the Lebanese Party Amal, established during the Lebanese Civil War by Iranian Imam Moussa Sadr, is opposed to a Lebanese delegation attending the (...)

After Emmanuel Macron’s failure to solve the Libyan crisis, it’s now Giuseppe Conte’s turn to take a shot at it. It’s true that Rome is better placed than Paris, insofar as it enjoys the support of the White House. However, there is little chance that any progress of any sort will be made, since these « fairy godmothers » are in fact the big bad wolves who recently devoured Libya.
