The number of lobbyists has grown two-fold in the United States as a result of George W. Bush’s arrival in the White House, indicated the Washington Post. The number of these individuals, who keep prowling around the Congress, seems to have currently risen by 34 750. Their fees have also been increased two times over, being somewhere between 25 000 and 40 000 dollars a month. Such a significant increase in this kind of activity has no other explanation than the spreading of corruption in Capitol Hill. It’s such an interesting business that more than half of former parliament members have been reenlisted, currently devoting themselves to lobbyism.
