Upon instruction from my Government, I would like to draw your kind attention to the attached list of names of 37 civilian martyrs who were executed by the terrorist group Islamic State in the Levant (ISIL) (Da’esh) (see annex).

On 27 March 2016, the Syrian army, after expelling the ISIL terrorist fighters from the city of Palmyra, discovered a mass grave in Al Jahizya District, and pulled out the bodies of 51 martyrs. The health authorities in the city of Homs succeeded in identifying 37 of the bodies remaining from the massacre. Meanwhile, 14 martyrs are still unidentified.

It would be highly appreciated if the present letter and its annex could be circulated as a document of the Security Council.
