Washington D. C. (États-Unis) | 25 March 2019The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), with the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Coast Guard, is issuing this advisory to alert persons globally to the significant U.S. sanctions risks for parties involved in petroleum shipments to the Government of Syria. These shipments create significant sanctions risk for entities and individuals in the shipping industry, including shipping companies, vessel owners, managers, operators, insurers, and financial (...)
28 February 2019Syrian President Bashar al-Assad travelled to Iran on an official visit. Apart from his previous trip to Russia, this is the first trip President Assad has made abroad since the aggression against Syria started in 2011.
Contrary to what the Western Press are making out, relations between Syria and Iran are particularly complicated due to Iran’s bi-cephalous political system. The Guide of the Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, supports the Syrian Arab Republic, in the context of the (...)
9 February 2019According to Israeli Channel 12, Iran has constructed a factory to build precision missiles at Safita, a district of Latakia (Syria).
The Israeli Press assumes that these missiles – if the information is correct – are meant for the Lebanese Resistance to use to threaten Tel-Aviv (which has attacked Lebanon several times and continues to violate its air space and territorial waters). This information comes just as the Guardians of the Iranian Revolution announced that they have Hoveizeh (...)
Damascus (Syria) | 7 February 2019The United States are preparing to organise the « Greater Middle East » without their troops. They will probably capitalise on the errors committed over the last five years by Iran in order to create a Judeo-Sunni military alliance, dubbed the « Arab NATO » by the Press, who will be sent to fight the Chiites.
Damascus (Syria) | 27 November 2018The new unilateral sanctions by the United States against Iran, Russia and Syria add to the previous actions concerning the same three targets. They now form the most unforgiving embargo in History. The way in which they have been organised is illegal according to the definition of the Charter of the United Nations – these are weapons of war, designed for killing.
23 November 2018On 8 November just past, the US Ambassador for Syria was received in Moscow. Following this, when they met in Paris on 11 November to commemorate the end of the First World War, Russian President Vladamir Putin had brief interviews with his US partner, Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
Russia proposed mediation with a view to loosening the tight grip the US sanctions regime was holding on the Iranian economy. In exchange, Iran’s military would retreat from Syria. (...)
Washington D. C. (États-Unis) | 20 November 2018Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is designating nine targets in an international network through which the Iranian regime, working with Russian companies, provides millions of barrels of oil to the Syrian government. The Assad regime, in turn, facilitates the movement of hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars (USD) to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF) for onward transfer to HAMAS and Hizballah. U.S. sanctions (...)
8 November 2018On 5 November 2018, President Sheikh Hassan Rohani assured his confreres that his country was going to “proudly by pass” the US sanctions. By this date, the United States had just activated its sanctions against the Iranian banking and oil sectors.
According to US estimates, Iran represents 2% of the global oil market. The re-activation of sanctions against Iran should prevent the sale of 1.4 to 1.7 million barrels per day. The announcement of sanctions alone resulted in a reduction of (...)

Canberra (Australia) [es)Canberra (Australia) | 15 October 2018PRIME MINISTER: Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Tremendous news yesterday overnight and obviously we are looking forward to celebrating that good news while they are enjoying their stay here in Australia. They will be neighbours of Jenny and I, for the next week or so I’m sure we will take the opportunity to congratulate them both in person.
But today, on a more serious note, I wanted to make a number of statements with the Foreign Minister in relation to our Government’s (...)
4 October 2018The Iranian government intervened on the side of the Government of France in the Zahra Centre affair . Teheran thinks that the accusation that this organization prepared an attack against the meeting of the Mujahideens of the People held on 30 June 2018, stems from a third state plot.
Bahram Ghasemi, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, denied that his country was in any way responsible in this matter and called France to come to the table so that the two countries (...)
4 October 2018Yahia Gouasmi is a French-Algerian disciple of Imam Rouhollah Khomeini. He became Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s representative in France. On 2 October 2018, he was arrested with 10 of his companions during a massive operation conducted by about 200 policemen, in the City of Grande-Synthe, Northern France.
During this operation, the French police searched and then closed the Zhara Centre which brings together Shiites in France.
At the same time, several bank accounts linked to Iran were frozen (...)
3 October 2018In a judgment delivered on 3 October 2018, the International Court of Justice (the ICJ) annulled, on an interim basis, several sanctions that the United States had unilaterally adopted against Iran.
The ICJ is the judicial arm of the UN. The Islamic Republic of Iran brought an action against the US on the grounds that the US sanctions imposed after the US withdrew from the JCPoA, contravened the Bilateral Treaty on Friendship, Economic Relations and Consular Rights that both countries (...)

28 September 2018On 22 September, an attack during a military parade killed 24 people and wounded 60 others, in Ahvaz (Iran).
Ahvaz is the capital of the Iranian Arab region of Khuzestan. On 22 September 1980, the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein tried to annex this population to Iraq. This unleashed a war between Iran and Iraq. At the time, the overwhelming majority of Iranian Arabs opposed the foreign Iraqi invasion. The military procession on September 22 2018 marked the anniversary of this terrible war, (...)
Remarks by Hassan Rohani to the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly
by
Hassan Rohani
New York (USA) | 25 September 2018In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
“Praise be to God, the Lord of the universe and Peace and Blessings be upon the Messenger of God and his Family and Companions”
Madam President,
I take this opportunity to felicitate your election to the presidency of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
We have assembled here today as the world is suffering from the recklessness and disregard of some states for international values and institutions. The message of (...)
14 September 2018Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, former chief of staff of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s cabinet, has just been sentenced to five years in prison for plotting against the Islamic Republic of Iran, one year for propaganda against the regime and six months for insulting persons vested with the authority of the state. That comes to a total of six and a half years in jail.
In 2013, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (right in the photo) presented Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei (left in the photo) as his successor. However the (...)
10 September 2018During his electoral campaign, the Iranian President, Sheikh Hassan Rohani, pledged to stop supporting Syria. In fact, from the time he took office in August 2013, he abstained from sending members of his government to Syria and did not fill the post of ambassador to Damascus for almost two years.
The exclusive channel for Iran’s support for Syria:
• the Guide of the Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has regularly sent his collaborators to Damascus; and
• the Guardians of the (...)
1 September 2018The former governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Mahmud Bahmani, close to the former president Mahmud Ahmadineyad, has launched a campaign against corruption.
Bahmani has exposed that 5 000 children of Iranian government officials live abroad and pile up in their personal bank accounts a sum of money that exceeds all the monetary reserves of Iran’s Central Bank (148 000 million dollars).
Furthermore, Bahmani emphasized that only 300 of these children of personalities are registered as (...)
Damascus (Syria) | 21 August 2018Like President Reagan, President Trump seems to be anti-Iranian. But perhaps this is only in appearance. While the former drew up a secret alliance with Imam Khomeiny, the latter may be dealing with ex-President Ahmadinejad in the same way. This is Thierry Meyssan’s heterodox theory.
18 August 2018Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of Iran has profoundly changed his views:
on August 13, 2018, he declared that the effect of the US sanctions on the country was attributable to internal and not external causes, that is to say to the economic management of the Rohani administration.
On August 15, he admitted to having made a mistake by authorizing Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to negotiate the 5 + 1 nuclear deal (JCPoA) with the United States.
In March 2013, (...)
10 August 2018The former president of Iran, Mahmud Ahmadineyad, currently under house arrest, broadcast a video through his Telegram account calling for his successor, Sheikh Rohani to resign.
Before the United States walked away from the Iran nuclear deal (also known as 5 + 1 agreement or JCPOA), President Rohani assured Iranians that he had the situation under control. But everyone can see that this is a grossly distorted version of reality. The Rohani government had full faith that an economic (...)
1 August 2018The administration of the Iranian President, Hassan Rohani, rejected the White House proposal for a joint summit, put forward on 30 July 2018. Teheran’s immediate response was that it would only accept this proposal after the United States had returned to the agreement known as the 5+1 or JCPOA.
Just as in the case of North Korea, the White House offer took place following a harsh exchange of messages between President Donald Trump and his Iranian partner. Following the signing of the 5 + (...)
21 July 2018On 16 July 2018, the Islamic Republic of Iran filed an action against the United States of America before the International Court of Justice.
This court is the internal judicial organ of the UN and is tasked with settling disputes between UN member states.
Teheran considers that the sanctions that Washington has taken against it after withdrawing from the 5+1 agreement (JCPoA) violate articles IV 1), VII 1), VIII 1), VIII 2), IX 2) and X 1) of the Bilateral Treaty on Friendship, Economic (...)
9 July 2018On 3 July 2018, the Iranian President, Sheikh Hassan Rohani hinted at the possibility of blocking the Strait of Hormuz if unilateral US sanctions are applied against Iran. He declared that either the whole world can use the strait or noone.
Then on 5 July 2018, the Commander-in-Chief of the Guardian of the Iranian Revolution, Mohammed Ali Jafari, declared that he was all set to block the Strait of Hormuz.
While US sanctions against Iran on the sale and purchase of metal, currency, debt (...)
7 July 2018On the basis of information provided by a US intelligence service, on 28 June 2018 the Belgian police arrested two Iranian nationals who were preparing an attack during the meeting of the Mujahideens of the People in Paris-Villepinte [12].
From the time the investigation began, the French police requested its German homologues to arrest an Iranian diplomatic, accredited to Vienna, who probably sponsored the attack. The latter was immediately arrested in violation of his diplomatic (...)
4 July 2018At the request of the US Government, the Union of the Comoros (a country commonly known as the Comoro Islands) has just cancelled 155 passports. Most of these passports had been handed over to Iranian personalities who had used them to get round the US embargo imposed on their country.
According to Reuters [13], this system has been set up when the Iranian president was Mahmud Ahmadineyad and he made a personal visit to the Comoros.
France would be directly concerned by this action given (...)
3 July 2018Around 4000 persons, most of who came from Eastern Europe, have participated in an all expenses paid Annual Meeting of the Mujahideens of the People in Paris.
Sponsored by Maryam Radjavi, the life cycle of the Mujahideens of the People has been bizarre:
• stage one: they were an Iranian Marxist political party;
• stage two: they metamorphized into a private Iraqi army serving Saddam Hussein
• stage three: they were classified as a “terrorist” organization by the United States and the (...)
30 June 2018The crisis is intensifying in Iran: the national currency, the Rial, has plummeted (55 % down in six months) whilst unemployment is spiralling (40% of the population are said to be unemployed but we cannot verify this figure).
Very shortly, new US sanctions will kick into force. President Hassan Rohani has condemned the US plot to destroy the hopes of his people.
Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani, Leader of the judicial branch of state power and brother of the President of Parliament, has (...)
27 June 2018On 24 June, demonstrations kicked off once again in Iran. This was the same day that a general strike took place in Teheran’s bazar. It seems that while these demonstrations are geographically limited, they bring together the country folk that took part in the demonstrations that took place last December and the shopkeepers that participated in the gatherings of the 2009 “Green Revolution”.
After the US announced that it would be withdrawing from the Iran deal (which is also known as the (...)
