Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama have launched Welcome.US, an organization aimed to help bring Afghan refugees to the United States of America.

"We are a nation of welcomers called to meet this extraordinary moment.
The United States has long been a beacon of hope for newcomers from around the world. For generations, millions of Americans who started out as refugees have made incredible contributions to our country. The same will be true for this generation. But first, they need our help," says this organization.

Its managers, supporters and sponsors constitute a real directory of who’s who in Washington.

The former Democratic and Republican presidents of the USA are replicating the rhetoric used by Chancellor Angela Merkel; one that won her strong popular support before backfiring on her.
