Global war on "terrorism"
In 1980s, the United States and Israel created the concept of "international terrorism" to discredit the national liberation movements, accusing them of being tentacles of the Soviet beast. After the September 11 attacks, responsibility for quashing terrorism was taken away from the police and shifted to the military domain. For the Anglo-American ruling class, the "war against terrorism" had been envisaged as a means of affirming its control over trade routes (free maritime and air circulation), but it served the Bush administration and the Zionist movement to cloak their mistimed colonial adventures (Palestine, Afghanistan, Irak).
The same concept is used by the West to justify the setting up of an Orwellian surveillance society and by the Shangai Cooperation Organisation (Russia, China) to stymie the intrusion of the nomadic populations of Central Asia and to stabilise them by force.
[Prensa Latina] According to Thierry Meyssan, president and founder of the Voltaire Network, the Islamic State (IS) or Daesh is an essentially-political movement that uses religion as a reference to create chaos and divide the Arab world. In an interview with Prensa Latina, Meyssan, who is also a journalist and a political activist of French origin, noted that it is a continuation and weird mix of organizations like Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood.
However, he noted (...)
The Western Press does not have anything to say about terrorism in Syria. These acts are perpetrated by groups of foreign combatants, supported by a few Syrian collaborators, and armed and funded by Germany, Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, the United States, France, Israël, Qatar, the United Kingdom and Turkey. Here is a list of the terrorist attacks of which Syrian civilians have been victims since the start of the year.
On instructions from my Government, and further to our previous letters regarding the support provided by the Jordanian regime to armed terrorist groups active in Syrian territory, we should like to inform you that, on 19 April 2016, the Jordanian authorities helped 150 terrorists equipped with some 30 four-wheel drive vehicles enter Syria from Jordanian territory through several border crossings and reach the city of Busra al-Sham, Dar‘a governorate. Those terrorists had been trained in (...)
A video published by Daesh has announced the installation of a training camp in Puntland, named «Commandant Cheikh Abou Nouman», after the name of an ex-officer of the organisation Shabaab, who assassinated him after his defection to Daesh.
With no pretence of being a fully-fledged state, Puntland is a province of Somalia which seceded and now disposes of an independent government. It is in fact a pirate state that the United States encouraged in order to hinder the passage of Chinese and (...)

At the 69th session of the UN General Assembly, that opens today at New York under his presidency, tomorrow, US President Obama «will call the world to unite against the threat of Isis». Immediately afterwards, this same Obama will chair a special meeting of the Security Council which should approve a resolution presented by the United States.
As to what one reads in the draft, that was circulated some days ago by the Reuters Press Agency, the (...)

He signed the book of condolences for the victims of the terrorist attack on the editorial staff of Charlie Hebdo and, defining it as «an outrageous attack on the freedom of press», he declared that «terrorism in any form can never be tolerated or justified».
Just words that could, however, never be articulated by Jens Stoltenberg, the Secretary General of NATO, a military organization that uses terrorist attack against radio-television (...)

After the terrorist attacks, two million people, crossed Paris in a procession, making it (in the words of President Hollande) the world’s «capital of freedom». Indeed, the prevailing sentiment that mobilized so many people of different nationalities was the need to vindicate our freedom from hatred, terroristic violence and war.
But at the head of the procession, there were actually some of the leaders responsible for policies that brought all this about (...)
Since their creation in Egypt, in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood have practiced large-scale political murder and attempted numerous coups d’Etat. That is why they are considered as a terrorist organization in most Arab states. However, this brotherhood was created by British intelligence, then went into the Nazi fold, and finally in the hands of the CIA. In 1978, it provides most of Arab jihadists who fought against the Afghan communist regime and, later, against the Red Army. From 2004, the CIA and the State Department tried to overthrow the Arab secular regimes and replace them by the Muslim Brotherhood. This project became a reality in 2011 with the Arab Spring. Today, all jihadist groups claim to the ideology of the Brotherhood and all their leaders are from the (...)
In support of the war unleashed by the “Common Arab Force”, Saudi Arabia’s initiative in Yemen against the supporters of former President Saleh and the Houthis, Al-Qaeda has reconstituted the former sultanate of Qu’aiti in the Arabic Peninsula (AQPA).
The Sultanate, which disappeared in 1966, was established around the ports of Mukalla and Shihr. Today, the Islamic Emirates of Mukalla has been made wealthy from war treasures worth at least 1.4 billion dollars and collects at least 2 million (...)
The Honorable Ashton Carter
Secretary of Defense
1000 Defense Pentagon
Washington, DC 20301
Dear Secretary Carter:
As a young military officer, I bore witness to the failed policy of gradual escalation that ultimately led to our nation’s defeat in the Vietnam War. Now as Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, I fear this administration’s grudging incrementalism in the war against the Islamic State (ISIL) risks another slow, grinding failure for our nation. My conversations with (...)
We don’t yet know who ordered the attacks in Paris and Brussels. Several potential leads have been mentioned, but only the hypothesis of an operation decided by Turkey has any serious backing. Thierry Meyssan describes the secret conflict which, for the last five years, has haunted the relations between the Europan Union, France and Turkey.
On the 11th January 2016, king Abdallah of Jordan took part in a Washington meeting with the members of three senatorial commissions (Intelligence, Foreign Affairs and Army). According to David Hearst - ex-journalist for the Scotsman, then the Guardian, and current chief editor of the Middle East Eye – who had been able to consult the minutes of the meetings, the king apparently accused President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of having organised the wave of migrants towards Europe, and to have (...)
We express our shock at the attacks in Brussels on 22 March 2016. We are appalled by these horrific terrorist acts, which we strongly condemn. We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the victims of these attacks, their families and friends. We express our support and solidarity to Belgium, its people and the city of Brussels in particular. We stand determined in our common fight against terrorism. As stated by the Heads of State or Government and the leaders of European (...)
By signing an agreement with Turkey to slow the influx of refugees – which happens to be illegal in international law – the leaders of the European Union have taken a step further in their pact with the devil. A large part of the 3 billion Euros annually allotted to Ankara will serve to finance support for the jihadists, and as a result will increase the number of migrants who are fleeing the war. Above all, by repealing the visa regulations with Turkey in the next few months, the Europeans are establishing free circulation between the Al-Qaïda camps in Turkey and Brussels. By crushing the Iraqi and Syrian people under the pressure of the jihadists whom they are indirectly financing, and abandoning the Turkish people to the dictatorship of President Erdoğan, they are preparing the foundations for a vast confrontation of which they will themselves be the (...)
President Obama has decided to replace the «Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications», created in 2011, by a «Global Engagement Center». To that end, on the 14th March 2016, he signed a secret decree – but a copy is already in circulation (see document below).
The new administration will be charged with fighting recruitment by terrorist groups. While still placed under the authority of the Secretary of State, it will be directed by Michael D. Lumpkin (photo). It will be (...)
On March 14, 2016, The House of Representatives unanimously adopted a resolution, introduced by Republican Jeff Fortenberry and 212 of his colleagues, calling the crimes of the Islamic Emirate ("Daesh") against minorities "genocide" (H.Con.Res.75). This follows the position of the European Parliament .
The resolution follows a report of the Knights of Columbus, the main Catholic charity in the United States.
Referring to the position of Pope Francis, parliamentarians hope to force (...)
We are reproducing here an extract from the televised speech given by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the occasion of the ceremonies for the 101st anniversary of the battle of Çanakkale («the battle of the Dardanelles»), and in remembrance of the victims of the attack perpetrated in Ankara a few days earlier.

See the previous document : “Russian intelligence report on Turkey’s current assistance to Daesh”, Voltaire Network, 18 February 2016. Illegal trafficking in weapons and ammunition to Syrian territory under ISIL control
The main supplier of weapons and military equipment to ISIL fighters is Turkey, which is doing so through non-governmental organizations. Work in this area is overseen by the National Intelligence Organization of Turkey. Transportation mainly involves vehicles, including as (...)
The announcement of the partial withdrawal of the Russian Army from Syria has spawned a great number of commentaries which illustrate the preconceived bias of their authors rather than reality. Thierry Meyssan points out that the facts demonstrate not only that the differences between Moscow and Damascus have been resolved, but that Russia – which managed to topple the Western powers into the anti-terrorist camp – intends to allow Syrians to liberate their territory by themselves.
Smuggling of antiquities by the international terrorist organization Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant
Around 100,000 cultural objects of global importance, including 4,500 archaeological sites, nine of which are included in the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), are under the control of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Syria and Iraq. The profit derived by the Islamists from the illicit trade in (...)
Since 2012, Moscow has been trying to rally the Western powers to its cause – to defend civilisation against jihadism, as the world was once united against Nazism. In order to do so, it first of all dissociated the White House from the combatants that the United States call « rebels », and whom Moscow regards as « jihadists ». Today, it is trying to isolate Turkey. Far from being a diplomatic epiphenomenon, the cessation of hostilities in Syria marks an about-face. Washington has just admitted that there are no « moderate » armed groups, or none left.
The decision on the resumption of the Geneva talks on Syria means Putin’s victory , bemoans the American press. And Obama is to blame, for he messed it up.
"Russia’s intervention in Syria has significantly weakened the options of the United States" - writes New York Times.
"Putin’s Syrian victory" - leads the Wall Street Journal.
"Russia is not bogged down in the" quagmire ", as was predicted by Mr. Obama six months ago, after the start of the Russian military air campaign. (...)
The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and members of the Nusrah Front (Al-Qaida) are modifying Scud missiles, which ISIL had obtained in Iraq. The missiles were taken to the town of Gharibah, Dayr al-Zawr governorate, where they were modified at the Jabisah oil fields administration building. The missiles were then moved to the agricultural centre building in the city of Raqqah.
The missiles were modified by Jonas Shelly, an Australian national; Quint Frens, a British national; (...)
Russia questioned the future of Turkey when it delivered to the Security Council an intelligence report concerning Turkey’s activities in support of jihadists. The document includes about ten revelations which implicate the activities of the MIT. The problem is that each of the operations listed refers back to operations in which the same actors worked with the United States or their allies against Russia. This information adds to that which is already available concerning the personal connections between President Erdoğan and the Al-Qaïda banker, and the information about Erdoğan’s son and the illegal use of the oil stolen by Daesh.
Recruitment of foreign terrorist fighters, facilitation of their cross-border movement into Syria and the supply of weapons to the terrorist groups active there
Reportedly, representatives of ISIL — with help from the Turkish intelligence services — have established an extensive network in Antalya for the recruitment of individuals who have arrived in Turkey from the post-Soviet States, to enable their participation in the Syrian conflict and possible transfer to Russia.
The group of (...)

European Parliament resolution of 4 February 2016 on the systematic mass murder of religious minorities by the so-called ‘ISIS/Daesh’ (2016/2529(RSP))
The European Parliament,
– having regard to its previous resolutions of 27 February 2014 on the situation in Iraq , of 18 September 2014 on the situation in Iraq and Syria, and the IS offensive, including the persecution of minorities , in particular paragraph 4 thereof, of 27 November 2014 on Iraq: kidnapping and mistreatment of women , of (...)
Most hydrocarbons extracted from ISIL-controlled areas are channelled through Turkey. Oil and oil products are mainly imported to Turkish territory by fuel tankers via the border checkpoints of Karkamış (570 km south-east of Ankara, Gaziantep province), Akçakale (640 km south-east of Ankara, Şanlıurfa province), Cilvegözü (530 km south-east of Ankara, Hatay province) and Öncüpınar (520 km south-east of Ankara, Kilis province). Every day, 100 to 150 fuel trucks pass through these checkpoints. (...)
President Obama has appointed Middle East Director at the National Security Council, Robert Malley, as "anti-Daesh tsar". He will coordinate and supervise all actions and all structures involved in the fight against the terrorist organization.
Robert Malley was educated at Harvard Law School together with Barack Obama, though they were not linked at the time. He started as a clerk at the Supreme Court, and then joined the Clinton administration, notably through National Security Advisor, (...)
